My brother passed his driving test yesterday.
This is so cool on so many levels!
Not only am I delighted for him cause he was nervous as hell and driving has been one of his main life-long ambitions, but it also means I get lifts now because he is eager to drive everywhere.

Also, Stephen's coming over next weekend to visit here and amongst everything else I have planned (we're most definitely gonna have to tinker with the apparatus and create a few doubles for this schedule...) we're gonna go away to Durham for a night - booked the hotel already.
I haven't looked forward for anything so much in...ever!
Exams will be long gone, and we'll have spending money, and...hotel! Jacuzzi! Yay! And Durham is just the most awesome place ever, and fuck, even if it's lashing raining and we're stuck inside the whole weekend, it's gonna be great.

So right now, it's fingers crossed to pass that last exam, and by Friday night, it's gonna be freedom.

Also, I wanna be 'cheerful' more often cause that kitty is just waaaay too cute when it's 'cheerful'.

I just went outside, and failing miserably at seeing any signs of meteor showers, suddenly realised that I am staring up onto the stars for the first time in...well, many months now.
This overwhelming feeling of longing I get when I gaze up at a clear starry sky is just...amazing. It's such a yearning feeling... It makes me feel more alive than anything else in the world.
And I think...well, possibly not in the most literal sense but, you CAN miss a place you've never been.

*yay I did see a wee shooting star after all. ah. *completeness*.

Prepare to be smacked in the face with a healthy doze of Nelly in a few week's time. Twice.

Repeats timetables finally out today and after spending the day biting nails, waiting, arguing, banging head against walls and lockers, and using up a huge amount of credit, the flights are finally booked, and now it's all just down to studying and passing.

I shall be invading Maynooth on the 13th of August, and then again on the 23rd, for a few days each time, because my exams managed to have been placed at the most awkward possible dates.

So yeah. Wahey.

edit for dates: it's gonna be the 13th (a monday night) till that saturday evening, and then again (brace yourselves) the next thursday (the 23rd, in the morning I think) till that sunday, the 26th.

*sigh*

Saw Shrek 3 last night - it kinda sucked...
Someone was going on about how the trailers basically had the only good bits in em and the rest was just shite...and well, after watching I gotta agree.
So annoying. Shrek was such an original when it came out!

Off to Harry Potter tonight. It better be good.....

Can't stay awake...

I think it might be the medication I've to take for the week because I don't think I've ever been this exhausted even after working every day and getting little sleep.
I mean, I generally can't function on less that 6 hours of sleep, but I've been going to be at like 9pm for the past few days and getting more than 8 hours of sleep a night, and am still walking around like a zombie.
Tis really weird - not like being tired but sort of like being...sedated or something...unnatural feeling of wanting to just fall over and pass out - and the usual coffee just doesn't help, it's so weird. Means the meds are doing their job though so all good.

In other news, bought Final Fantasy XII today (with crispy poundses from my first paycheck) and now sinking my teeth into it through the haze of brain screaming 'you want to sleep, now'. It's kinda pretty so far!
All the characters have blonde hair. Some have bunny ears. I think there's no love story which totally rocks (ok no I'm lying through my teeth here, I really wish there were one actually.)

Oh, also - I really can't wait to head over to Ireland.
Few weeks time now, and then even longer for repeats (it's a bit disconcerting that I am wholeheartedly looking forward to repeating exams!..he he)
So it's not all that bitter.

Why don't you write about it in your BLAG??

So, I am sorta bouncing off the walls over here because this place is boring and I miss Maynooth and my friends (I never thought I could miss Maynooth, seriously...).

So I think it's about time to start spewing all my rants onto a page to help with all the anger and such.
It's either that or chocolate (bleeeaaargh).
